THE "INCIDENT"
I just had to share this funny story. We all know my never ending potty training saga, and how I freak out every time I take Hayden to his " must be fully potty trained" preschool, for fear that he is going to poop his pants. I dont want to get that dreaded call. HEEHEE Yesterday when I went and picked him up from school, I was greeted by his teacher telling me that we had an "incident" today. I thought "oh great, he pood his underwear and I am about to be kicked out of preschool". She then told me that while they were out for recess, they happened to look over at the playhouse and saw a little white bum through one of the windows and noticed that it was my sweet little Hayden taking a wizz on the corner of the playhouse!! Oh I think I could have died a hundred times. So embarrassing. I am quite sure she thinks my mothering skills stink. I am not sure she knows he is number 5 out of 6 BOYS, maybe she would cut me a little slack with that knowledge. Little boys like to whip it out wherever and whenever they have to go potty.
She was very nice about it and just wanted me to know so that I could reinforce with Hayden to let them know when he has to go potty so they can take him. Yah Yah ok!
I just thought I would share one of my many proud "mother of the year" moments.
Today I took Hayden to speech and then some of us hung out at Chuck E Cheese for a bit. Good times. Tonight we have a Court of Honor to go to, last night we had pack meeting-Crazy. Tonight Dallin gets his LIFE merit badge. We are so proud of him. He is almost ready to work on his Eagle. Well I need to get out the whip and get sopme kids doing their homework. Have a great night!

Here is the recipe for the Chicken Pot Pie. Try it, you will love it, and girls, there is NO canned soup involved in this recipe. It is all homemade . Several years ago, Holly and I went to a cooking class and made this and other fabulous recipes. It was at a place called Home Chef. It is a gourmet store kind of like Williams Sonoma with cooking classes.
Chicken Pot Pie with Puff Pastry Crust
FILLING
2 Tbs Butter
1 medium onion diced
3 carrots cut into small pieces
3 celery stalks chopped (I use mushrooms instead) could also use both
1 1/2 cups of frozen peas
1tbs tarragon
1 pound chicken breast cooked and cubed
salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste
SAUCE:
4 tbs butter
4 tbs flour
3 cups of chicken stalk
1/2 cup of creme
Crust
puff pastry crust in freezer section of store
egg wash
Filling: In a large saute pan, melt butter, add onion, and carrot and saute for about 5 minutes. Add celery and saute for 3 minutes more. Add peas, tarragon and chicken and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. **Transfer to ramikins or I doubled the recipe and put into 9x13 pan**
Sauce: In a large sauce pan over medium to high heat, melt the butter. Stirin the flour and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add stock, wisking constantly until the sauce comes to a boil. Add the creme, and seasonings to taste and simmer until slightly thickened. Pour sauce over filling and let cool to room temperature.
Gently roll out the pastry to fit over the dish leaving enough at the sides to overhang. Pierce with a knife to allow steam to escape. Lightly brush with eff wash and bake in 400 degree oven for 35-40 minutes until crust is golden brown. ENJOY!
I doubled this recipe to feed my family and it filled the 9x13 pan.

Ok so this is the Chicken Pot Pie in a Puff Pastry crust that I made for my man for our anniversary. It is one of his favorite things that I make for him. It is easy, but time consuming so I dont get to make it that often. If anyone wants the recipe, let me know. It turned out pretty dang good if I say so myself. The crust doesnt look that perfect, but hey, I tried right?
So as I am typing this I am thinking to myself "keep it cool Linda , dont lose it!? Some of my kids are in here wrestling around and going nuts!!! It has been a LONG day! Our church ends at 12:30 and the kids are going a little loopy. Chris and Dallin went to the Oakland Temple (actually the Tri Stake Center right next to it) to help with the parking for the Gladys Night and the SUV Singers concert and they just got home.
This weekend was pretty chillax. Friday I just stayed home focused on getting Hayden to finally go poo in the toilet. Any luck? NOOO! What a wasted day. He hadnt gone in a
couple days so I knew he needed to go. He kept telling me he needed to go and we would run to
Saturday it was raining so Bowens football game got rained out. I love that when it happens. Dont get me wrong, I love to watch him play, but it was nice to have a quiet Saturday. We ended up running to IKEA. It is always fun to go there. They have fun things. Not quite my taste in furniture, but it is fun to shop there. They do have cool knick knacks. We also love to load up on the meatballs and sauce mix. So tasty. Well this was a snooze fest post, but it has kept me from strangling some kids! LOL have a great night.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! 16 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy Cow that went by fast. I guess it is true, that time flies when you are having fun. ;)
I cant believe how fast it really has gone. 16 years ago I was one happy girl.
Chris and I met through my BIL. Chris came off his mission and started doing landscaping for him. My mom would see him and told my BIL that he should hook us up. My BIL told her that he didnt think he was my type. She kept bugging him about it telling him she ahd a "feeling" about it and told him to do it. We first met each other at my BIL baseball game. I remember sitting behind him and I thought he had a nice neck. Weird I know. I kind of have a neck fettish. HEHE His neck was tan and you could tell his hair was just cut. He looked so cute. We all went to dinner after the game and then he asked me out for that Thursday. We went out and had a great time, but I wasnt getting my hopes up because I was having bad luck with guys before him. We saw each other at a Young adult dance the next night and 2 weeks later he was so smitten by my hottness that he proposed. LOL.
We were married about 3 months later and here we are, six kids and 16 years later.
I am so lucky to have him. He is so patient and a hard worker. My man can do anything! I am always so amazed that really there is nothing he cant do. (except of course give me a girl)!! I am also greatful that he is a great member of our church and worthy priesthood holder. I try to be supportive of his callings but I often fail. It tweeks me off a little when he zooms off to do his calling when I have been home all day witht he kids, but that is my constant inner battle. I just need to remember how blessed we are and get over it! I can be selfish at times.
I am not sure there is any hot plans tonight. Probably not. It is of course a weeknight so I doubt it. That is ok though. Well I am off to get my morning going.
Happy anniversay Chris (not that he reads this all the time but you never know) I love you so much and I am so thankful that you wanted me, big hair and all!
PS This is our engagement photo. I couldnt dig out any recent ones without really digging. Pretty sad. I need to get ove my photo phobia!!

Happy Monday! Or is it?? To me it just means that there is 4 more days until the weekend. Bummer.
This weekend was just pretty noneventful. We just took kids to games and practices etc.
Saturday we made homemade pizza and banana bread. Just what my fat butt needs, but it was tasty! I was feeling like Martha I guess. Well Chris made the pizza. he has some mad pizza making skills and I just made the banana bread. I would show a picture of that too, but the picture I took shows off my dirty stove and we dont want that now do we?
Sunday was our Stake conf. Chris took the older boys and I stayed home with the other 2. It is hard enough keeping them entertained for the hour and ten minutes let alone 2 hours!!! I know, I am a loser! We just chilled the rest of the day. It felt great to just relax.
Today I took Hayden to his speech class and then we dropped a wad at Costco. I ALWAYs
Well I am off to hold my baby. He has been neglected all day. Car seat to floor all day. MOTHER OF THE YEAR is right here.
These pics are just random ones to make my post a little less boring. Lawson loves heading for my stairs and this picture is of him climbing under the banister. Mr Brainiac for sure!
Then there is Hayden on his first day of school. Before and after shots. He looks like he is on drugs. Pretty funny kid.
have a great day!

I have seriously been cursing these books! I was tired of seeing them all over eveyones blogs and hearing about how "wonderful" and "addicting" they are! (sorry ladies).
So today I was at Walmart and I happened to see these books looking all pretty on the shelves when this one spoke to me. It said "Buy me, you know you want to"!! So what did I do????? I bought the darn thing. I caved into peer pressure:)
I hope that it doesnt interfere with my weekly smut tabloids! HAHA
I will start it tonight and see if I fall into the category of vampire lovers or whatever it is about.
Darn you girls!!!!!!

I know that all of you are trying to figure out how it is possible to get hair this high right? We thought we were all that! I think we put Aquanet hairspray on the map. I also was the sole member of the Mr T jewelry club. I dont know if you can tell but I had quite the BLING BLING !
This is me now. I think that Aquanet Hairspray went out of business. 2 out of the 3 of us sisters in the photo have flatter hair. My sister Julie still LOVES her big hair. LOL Love ya Julie..
This is the reason why I dont like to post pictures of me on my blog. I am not very photogenic. It is quite funny how you can think you look ok and then you see your self in a picture and want to Gag! I am trying to be better about having my pictures taken so my kids will have something to remember my by when I am in the old folks home someday. LOL
I also wanted to thank all of you wonderful girls for giving me words of kindness to me as I was having my Pitty Party! I really am grateful that I have a wonderful hubby who is always willing and worthy to serve . I am just going to have to suck it up and deal with all of the campouts and meetings right???? Well I am off to go get my kiddies. Have a great day!!

Somebody needs to send some Happy Pills to my house PRONTO! It has been a LONG D**N weekend!
First of all, Chris was called to be the new Scoutmaster in our ward. Can I just say that that is a mondo calling. Crazy nuts busy. Campouts, meetings and not to mention the dreaded week long Scout camp during ths summer. Now I do realize that I pretty much have my own scout troup at my house, and I knew that this call was inevitable, but it is so nuts at our house these days. I need my man home! He has been in scouts before, YM Pres a few times, Stake YM pres before we moved here and so I am use to all the stuff and I find myself feeling bitter about it all. I know I need to be supportive and bite my tongue but it is hard.
So as for my LONG weekend...... Chris had a campout he had to go to. Him and Dallin headed off yesterday around 4. He had to take my Yukon Xl to fit everything and left me with his car. Ok lets do the math here. There are 6 of us (2 of those in car seats) and his car seats 5. HELLOOOO! Am I just suppose to stay cooped up in the house while he is gone??? Bowen had football practice and a little shin dig afterward to pep up the team for their game today. So I loaded up all the kiddies in his car and away we went. Luckily I didnt get spotted by the cops--A real Britney moment!! I let the kids run around at the park for a bit to tire them out. On the way home I did stop at the store and loaded up on my Tabloids and came home. I had the kids in bed by 9ish. Yeah me! I must say that the kids have been pretty great. I havent had to use my psycho mom voice too much.
Today I got Bowen off to his game. I had asked some people in my ward to help me out and take him to and from the game (they are on the same team). I have to admit that Bowens loser mom was not about to take all of them to the game by myself. Between a 3 year old and a baby--uh uh not happening. He is a great kid and understood. Today I did go to Target, I needed some retail therapy and that always makes me happy. We came home and let the kids run loose in the hood. We had corn dogs for dinner-yuk! and now I am giving baths and getting ready for 9:30 church tomorrow.
it is 8:30 and still no Chris-----Holy Hannah I am hitting my limit. Like I said the kids have been pretty great all in all, but the baby is getting clingy and I have a ton to do! WEll I am off to get kid number 5 in the bath. Wish me luck! Have a great night...

We were going to get new carpets, but the sticker shock quickly stopped that from happening. New floors can wait a bit!!
I am just sitting here doing some damage on my computer. I have been shopping online a little and trying to find some deals for our possible Dland trip next month. Hotels dont seem to want to have a boat load of kiddies staying in their rooms! Go figure! If anyone out there has some good insider info or tips for me, please let me know.
Well here are a few more pics of my cute little man! dang he is so cute!!!! He keeps biffing it on my floors and stairs so I had to go get another baby gate to trap the little booger!
Poor little dude has some bruises on his little head. No need to call CPS on me! LOL
Have a great day!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! Can I just say how much I love bedtime?????? I just put #6 to bed and all is well. I know, I know this is a lame post, but as I was coming down the stairs, or should I say "floating" down the stairs I thought that I needed express my love for bed time. I have had a great week. I cant believe that I have been such a slacker in my blogging. I am sure that you have all been waiting on pins and needles for me to blog for sure!! I have been pretty busy . Maybe since I have not had the urge to sell any of my kids on Ebay this week I have just been happy with reading/stalking blogs instead.
I have some cute pictures to post soon of our Saturday at the beach. Being the loser that I am I forgot my camera and had to have my friends take pics of the kids at the beach. I went to grab it several times before we left, but my alzheimer genes were setting in and I forgot it. Oh well.
I hope everyone had a great Labor Day. We went to Hollys BBQ. Yummy food and it wasnt a scorcher today like the past week. EEEWWWW! I hate the heat. Good night!
